Our "Core" Hounds

Yellow Creek hounds are known for their nose, brains, patience and line control.  They are the most intelligent {rabbit wise}, smoothest running and check free hounds, bar none.  I have chosen the Dingus MacRae line {a distant cousin to the Yellow Creeks} to combine with my Yellow Creeks because Dingus brings extreme hunt, jumping ability, extreme drive and stamina. Many of the dogs in the pedigrees of these dogs were not campaigned in the field trial circuit but were sold to rabbit hunters for the sole purpose of gun hunting. Mr. Larry Perry bred this line “Dingus/Indian Hills” with three main priorities in mind; hunt, hunt and more hunt. Though some do not share the “FC” label or status with their littermates, it does not change what their genes are or the fact that they were as equal or superior to the fine hounds that gained Field Champion status.
